Colder than Snow

Quiet Reflections of Hokkaido Winter

Showcases the essence of the beautiful winter landscape of Japan’s northernmost island. Captured while the artist was traveling in Hokkaido in February of 2023, Chandler’s photography features the iconic scenery of this region with an elegant lens, inspiring reflection, and contemplation. Chandler has traveled the world using her designer’s eye to explore minimalist compositions artfully captured from nature.

Sandra Chandler’s current project Quiet Reflections of Hokkaido Winter may be viewed at the Portland Japanese Garden beginning in March 2024.
