Culture
Culture encompasses characteristic features of everyday existence shared by people in a place or time. It is characterized as the customary beliefs, social forms, and material traits of a racial, religious, heritage or social group.
All cultures share the characteristics and knowledge of a particular group of people; they encompass language, religion, traditions, cuisine, social organization, economy, government authority and the arts. Dynamic culture is learned, shared, and integrated.
In addition to its intrinsic value, culture provides important social and economic benefits.
With improved learning and health, increased tolerance, and opportunities to come together with others, culture enhances our quality of life and increases overall well-being for both individuals and communities.
